Weekly Photo Challenge: One Shot, Two Ways

I generally end up taking multiple shots of a location – since it’s difficult to make out which shot will work out better. Here are a few samples –

These pictures are of the water body in our society. The vertical shot lays emphasis on the water body where as the horizontal shot focuses on the location and shape – between two curved roads.

These are taken during my recent trip to Shimla. The vertical picture emphasizes the pine needle clusters against the backdrop of the sky and the horizontal emphasizes the greenery contributed by the tree. Personally I like the vertical one since I was trying to capture the pine-needle-cluster effect.
